CLOUD LINUX VM FREE HOSTED BY LINODE TRICKS 2023

Cloud hosting has become increasingly popular, and for good reason. It offers scalability, flexibility, and lower operating costs compared to traditional server hosting. If you're looking to try your hand at cloud hosting, Linode is a great place to start. In this tutorial, we'll walk you through the steps of setting up a free Cloud Linux VM hosted by Linode.

Step 1: Create an account on Linode

The first step is to create an account on Linode. Head to their website and click on "Sign Up" in the top right-hand corner of the page. Follow the prompts to create your account.

Step 2: Create a new Linode

Once you've created your account, you'll be taken to the dashboard. Click on "Create" in the top left-hand corner of the page and then select "Linode." You'll be prompted to choose a plan. Select "Nanode 1GB" as it's the only option that comes with a free trial.

Step 3: Choose your location

Next, you'll need to choose the location of your Linode. Choose the one closest to you or your users, as this will reduce latency and improve performance.

Step 4: Choose your distribution

After choosing your location, you'll need to choose a distribution. For this tutorial, we'll be using Cloud Linux. Scroll down the list of available distributions until you find Cloud Linux and select it.

Step 5: Create a password

You'll now be prompted to create a root password for your Linode. Make sure it's secure and keep it somewhere safe.

Step 6: Deploy your Linode

Once you've chosen your distribution and set your password, click on "Create" to deploy your Linode. This may take a few minutes.

Step 7: Access your Linode

Once your Linode is deployed, you'll be taken back to the dashboard. Click on your new Linode and then click on "Remote Access" in the left-hand menu. Here, you'll find all the information you need to access your Linode via SSH.

Step 8: Connect to your Linode

To connect to your Linode via SSH, you'll need an SSH client like PuTTY. Open PuTTY and enter the IP address of your Linode in the "Host Name" field. Make sure "SSH" is selected as the connection type and then click "Open." You'll be prompted to log in with your root username and password.

Step 9: Configure your Linode

Once connected to your Linode, you can start configuring it. You can install software, set up users, and configure your firewall as needed.
